After installing Apache ActiveMQ on my Windows 7, I encountered problem starting up the service:
So, I went to check the log file and found the following:
Found a solution from web, is to create 2 more folders (namely temp and work) under <Apache MQ Installation>\bin\win32
Then, start the ApacheMQ, finally able to do so with no problem.
Let’s give it a try, hit http://localhost:8161/ at your browser
